1. What Celibae is
Celibae is a dating service for celibate singles on either of two paths: adults who have decided to wait until marriage, whatever their reason, and adults who have decided to stay celibate for life. Members join, create a profile, see other members, match by mutual choice, and message inside matches. Celibae is operated in the United States and is intended for members in the United States.
By creating an account or using Celibae, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Who may join
- You must be 18 years of age or older. Date of birth is required at sign up and accounts for anyone under 18 are refused.
- You must join honestly, as yourself, with one account. No impersonation, no accounts for other people, and no automated or fake accounts.
- You must be legally able to enter this agreement, and your use of Celibae must be lawful where you are.
- Celibae is built for people who are single and celibate by choice, on either path the service offers: waiting until marriage, or celibate for life. Joining means you are stating that intention honestly. Nobody audits your past, and your history is not a measure of your worth here.
3. Please read this: what Celibae does not do
Celibae does not conduct criminal background checks, identity verification, or sex offender registry searches on its members. A human reviews each profile photo before it can appear in discovery. A reviewed photo is a check that a photo looks like a real person for a profile. It is not a verification of anyone's identity, history, or character.
No member of Celibae is certified, endorsed, or guaranteed safe by us. Use your own judgement with every person you meet, here and everywhere. Our safety page explains the steps we ask every member to take.
Celibae also cannot promise you a match, a relationship, or any particular outcome. Dating is people, and people are not a product feature.
4. Your account
- Keep your information accurate and your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used by someone else.
- You may delete your account at any time from your profile tab. Deletion removes your account, profile, photo, matches, and messages, as described in the Privacy Policy.
5. Community rules
Members agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, stalk, or pressure any member, including pressure about their stated boundary. Pressuring someone about celibacy is a violation here, full stop.
- Ask for or send money, gift cards, cryptocurrency, or financial information, or run any scam, fraud, or commercial solicitation.
- Post sexual content involving minors, or any content that is illegal, hateful toward a protected group, or intended to harm.
- Share another person's private information, photos, or messages outside Celibae without their consent.
- Use Celibae to advertise goods or services, recruit for other platforms, or drive members off the service for commercial reasons.
We may warn, limit, suspend, or remove any account that breaks these rules, at our reasonable discretion, and we may remove content that does so.
6. Your content and photos
You keep ownership of the words and photos you add to Celibae. By adding them, you give Celibae a licence to store, display, and share them inside the service as needed to run it, for example showing your profile to other members and your messages to the member you matched with. That licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies kept briefly in backups and records the law or safety requires us to keep.
Every profile photo is reviewed by a person before it appears to other members, and a new photo goes back into review. A photo that is rejected is deleted from our storage. You promise that photos you upload are of you, or that you have the right to use them.
7. Reports, blocks, and moderation
Any member can report or block any other member from a profile or a chat. Blocking stops discovery and messaging between you at once. Reports are reviewed by people. To review a report, we may need to read the reported profile, photo, or conversation, and by using Celibae you agree that we may review content for safety and rule enforcement when a report or a safety concern calls for it.
If you believe someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first (911 in the US), then report the member to us.
8. Fees and refunds
Celibae is free to join during its founding beta. If paid plans are offered later, the price, what the plan includes, and the renewal terms will be shown clearly before you pay, and these terms will be updated first. Nothing in these terms limits any refund right you hold under applicable law.
9. The service as it is
Celibae is provided as is and as available. We work to keep it running and safe, but we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error free, or that any member's information is accurate. Members are responsible for their own statements and conduct.

10. Disputes and governing law

11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service grows. When a change is material, we will say so inside the service or by email before it takes effect for existing members, and the date at the top of this page will move. Continuing to use Celibae after a change takes effect means you accept it.
12. The name
Celibae™, and the Celibae logo, are trademarks of the service's owner, with a US trademark application pending. The name and logo may not be used in a way that suggests endorsement or affiliation without written permission.
